Calculation of the appropriate RPM for platelet separation using the
Shams Azma Pishro teb Medical Kit​

Dear colleague,

Note: The correct RPM for PRP separation for each centrifuge must be calculated separately, and a same RPM for all centrifuges will not be effective.

  1. For accurate RPM calculation, first measure the radius of centrifuge rotation with a ruler (in millimeters) and substitute it into the formula below.
  2. In centrifuges with a movable angle, the rotation radius is equal to the center of rotation to the end of the tube holder, and in centrifuges with a fixed angle, the rotation radius is equal to the center of rotation to the middle of the tube holder.
  3. If your centrifuge does not have the calculated RPM, choose the closest value to the calculated RPM.
