Calculation of the appropriate RPM for platelet separation using the
Shams Azma Pishro teb Medical Kit
Dear colleague,
Note: The correct RPM for PRP separation for each centrifuge must be calculated separately, and a same RPM for all centrifuges will not be effective.
- For accurate RPM calculation, first measure the radius of centrifuge rotation with a ruler (in millimeters) and substitute it into the formula below.
- In centrifuges with a movable angle, the rotation radius is equal to the center of rotation to the end of the tube holder, and in centrifuges with a fixed angle, the rotation radius is equal to the center of rotation to the middle of the tube holder.
- If your centrifuge does not have the calculated RPM, choose the closest value to the calculated RPM.
